Engineers Week Banquet a Success!  [print page]

The annual banquet went very well with attendance over 350.  We had a very interesting talk by the Honorable John Garamendi, Lieutenant Governor of California. Pictures of the night are posted up at our friend DJ Cline's website.

We have premiered our new SVEC Journal of technical papers written by engineers in our member organizations and which is available free for download.  We're have also organized a guide to other local Engineers Week related festivities! We have added an online calendar of Bay Area technical events.  If you have events to add to the calendar, please put them on a public Google calendar and send me a link.

Help us build this new website into a terrific resource to assist our member organizations and the technical community with links to professional training, volunteer opportunities reaching out to kids, and publicity for our member organization events and programs.

I hope that this website will help revitalize our organization and shape a new vision for SVEC. I would love to hear about any links you think we should add and ideas to make information better organized and more usable. With this website, SVEC has the resources to better become a focus of the local tech community and go on to even greater things!
